Our Story
In J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendarium, “alda” is the Quenya word for “tree.” This name signifies the importance of trees and forests in Tolkien’s mythology, symbolising life, growth, and a deep connection to the natural world. Inspired by this deep-rooted symbolism, ALDA Landscape Architecture was established in 2024.
ALDA Landscape Architecture is a design practice that specialises in landscape architecture and urban design. ALDA’s approach centres on designing outdoor spaces that reflect the order and balance found in nature, drawing inspiration from the enduring beauty of trees and their vital role in the landscape and community, much like those revered in Tolkien’s works.
